Match Day Procedures

Procedure before and after the games begin:
1. Match books filled in with all active players for the game including location, coach details, names of clubs etc and provided to the referee with the players ID/reg cards at least 10 minutes before the game starts (depending on the arrival of the referee, sometimes referees arrive late).

2. In some cases marshalls are required to marshall referee to the ground (have at least 2 marshalls clearly identifyable with bibs).

3. Referee would ask for a linesman from your club (ensure this has been arranged).

4. Referee would brief the linesman and handover the flag.

5. Referee would line up players and check their boots and outfit and brief them on the game.

6. Game begins. Referee now incharge.

7. During the game if you want to make a substitution of players wait until ball is out of play, call for referee and indicate your intention. On referees concurrence, call the player to be substituted of the field while you have a player on standby (ensure player exits and enters from halfway line).

8. At the end of the game, line up your players and shake hands with all opposition players and officials, act professional even if you not happy with the outcome of the game, use proper procedures to handle these type of issues.
When shaking hands say "good game"

9. Referee will jot down the score and pass the book back to you (coach, team manager), check the score and sign the book.

10. Home Team is responsible for entering the match results into the 'Resualts Vault' on the FFV website, as soon as possible after completion of the game.
